The Kashmiri Jamowar technique uses Pashmina (from mountain goats) with a blend of cotton and other wool to create shawls or fabric in multiple hues and intricate designs. Of Persian origin, the technique involves weaving the Jamowar design into the fabric, with no loose thread on the reverse side. It is amongst India’s most stunning woven fabrics. Jamowars found royal patronage from the Mughals and flourished during their reign.

CRC partners with Action Line under the leadership of Riaz Hakim. They also produce hand-knotted silk carpets, tribal rugs, embroideries, mats and durries.
